It is the mission of this corporation to show love for our neighbors by enhancing the quality of life in the East Lake community of Birmingham, Alabama.
Our vision is to develop a community of choice through excellence in education and affordable housing in three Birmingham, Alabama, East Lake Community neighborhoods: East Lake, Brown Springs and Gate City.

Excellence in education is achieved when: · Our public schools become schools of choice · Educational activities are reinforced through summer camps and after school programs · Scholarships are awarded that recognize significant educational achievements of high school and college students stressing community service; & · All adults have educational and job skills |
Housing targets are achieved when: · Vacant housing is significantly reduced or eliminated. Residents live in owner–occupied, single–family affordable housing for families whose incomes are below the median household income for the County of Jefferson, the State of Alabama. · All targeted homeowners are educated with home maintenance and income management skills. |
